Dragon Square

The title of our Brief was:  The Story of a Square

A square, a basic shape, rectangle with two adjacent equal sides. This shape is the starting point and endpoint of our animation. What we create in between is completely up to us. The animation has to be ten seconds long.

The square that we used had to be a certain size. At the end when all our animations are finished the tutors plan to connect all our short animations together so that the square keeps changing.

Here is my ten second animation. (it might not work on some laptops so I might have to upload it again):

I drew the pictures, scanned them, then coloured them in on photoshop. The movement was done on flash and  the sound was then added in  premiere pro.

  1. Great amount of blogging Giulia, well done. Would be nice to read more about your concept and narrative as opposed to the process.
Also before we get into 3D creation it's important to understand the fundamentals of animation. I'd recommend checking out such things as pan and zoom. That little bit of subtle movement can play a big role in bringing your animation to life.
