Researching Animations

At the moment I have been looking at other animations for inspiration. I have also researched a variety of other things such as Fashion Design to come up with clothes for my new characters and Character Design itself, as I am still a bit unsure of what my new characters should look like. The things I am considering at the moment are trying to find out what medium I should use for my short animation and what style it should have. This time I am thinking of trying out something Sketchy. For the soundtrack I have already come up with ideas which I might use for the final piece.

This is a story by Andrey Patrama and  is about a woman who seems to be sick of life as she is waiting for her husband to return. One day she meets an old man in a park that wants her soul.

My tutor send us a link to this animation and I find that sketchy look really nice.

The next animation was a group project done by some of my classmates. :D I really think this animation is great. Each group had to pick a movie and make a title sequence for it.
