Working on After Effects

Today I have been trying out how to use Adobe After Effects and I worked on backgrounds in three scenes.

 
This scene  will be used at the start and the end. The mouse will come out of the mouse hole and later go back in. Real photography was used which I took and Kinley eddited on photoshop. Daniel is working on the mouse at the moment.

This background might not be used but if it will be used it will be in more in one scene just reversed.

The last image is is not finished as I still need to take  apicture of a door and add it in.

Mini 3D Green Mile.

Because I was kind of stuck of what I was supposed to do I noticed we didn't work much with 3D, apart from the mice Daniel made, the rest was either 2D or digital. So I decided today to make a little version of the Green Mile.

  I painted the pieces of wood with acrylics and then glued them together. After that I also glues wire onto it.

Here I have  both sides glued onto the board

After that I added a small circuit with a little light like they have in the movie.

 I am still thinking of making a mini desk, chair and radio.

More Photographs for the Project

Today I took some more photographs for our group project. David, our tutor, showed us some basics in Adobe After Effects which were very useful to us. He showed us how to make things look 3D and he gave us the idea to use real photography of walls and floors for the rooms in the scenes. Here are some images of the walls and floors I photographed.

A New Project

On Monday, April the 8th, we were assigned a new project. But this time it was going to be a group project.    Three people were put into each group, I was put together with Daniel and Kinley. What we have to do is create an opening sequence for a film we chose from a list we got. We decided to make an opening sequence for the film `The Green Mile´. After around a week into the project I had to go to Germany due to family reasons and wasn't able to do any work. While i was gone Kinley and Daniel have been thinking of ideas, modelling a mouse and created storyboards. Yesterday they shared their ideas with me and we have decided on using the mouse, which is also in the movie, to show us around the green mile and introducing the characters names in the title sequence. When I got back from Germany I was given a list of things to take pictures of like metal bars, brick walls, windows with bars and things like that. Due to exams I didn't get to look for many places which remind of a prison but here are some pictures which I took recently.
